Rupert Whitehead

Trombone

Hailing from Llandeilo in west Wales, Rupert has been playing the trombone since the age of 12. He progressed through the numerous ensembles of Carmarthenshire music service gaining invaluable experience along the way. Rupert moved to London in 2006 to study with Byron Fulcher at the Royal College of Music, graduating in 2010 with a first. A year at the Royal Academy of Music followed where Rupert completed an Mmus course with distinction. Since finishing his studies, Rupert has performed with a variety of ensembles, including, the Philharmonia Orchestra, London Sinfonietta, Britten Sinfonia and the Ulster Orchestra.
